Little Loon Pediatric Therapy LLC is owned and operated by its sole therapist, Kayla Head, M.S., CCC-SLP. We are located in Wasilla, Alaska, and serve pediatric clients who are in need of intervention related to speech, feeding, tethered oral tissues (tongue, lip, cheek ties), and orofacial myofunctional disorders.

My name is Kayla Tinsley and I am passionate about helping individuals improve their overall health and wellness through Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy. I received my Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy certification through the Academy of Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (AOMT).

My background is in Dental Hygiene with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene and a Master of Public Health. Through my clinical experience as a dental hygienist, I have consistently witnessed the long-term effects that narrow airways, mouth breathing, malocclusion, and restricted tongue mobility can have on oral and overall health.

My passion for becoming a myofunctional therapist and founding Growing Smiles Myofunctional Therapy stems from a desire to educate others about the important connection between airway health, proper breathing, tongue function, and overall wellness.

My goal is to provide personalized, supportive care that empowers each individual to improve their breathing, sleep, oral function, and long-term health.

I work with both children and adults with in-person and virtual visits available. I look forward to meeting you and working together to create a customized plan that supports your unique health goals!

Kelley Carter has been a Speech Pathologist for over 20 years, graduating from CSUNorthridge with her Masters in 1997. Kelley has worked in a variety of settings including Rehabilitation Hospitals, Skilled Nursing, Schools, Early Intervention, Corporate setting, Outpatient and Home Health. She has specialized in Feeding, Speech/Language, Articulation, Apraxia, Aphasia, Phonological delays, Oral Motor/Oral Myofunctional training (Airway, Oral Structure and Function), Fluency and Voice. Kelley has also received extensive training in Cranial Nerve Dysfunction, Autonomic Nervous System dysregulation, Tummy Time Method certification, Pre-and post Frenectomy treatment, as well as treatment to maximize development of social interaction, sensory regulation and maximizing feeding and oral development through movement and exercises starting in infancy.
