The STONES Approach
The STONES Approach is an advanced myofunctional course designed to enhance clinical decision-making and treatment implementation for orofacial myofunctional disorders. Often, clinicians know the treatment goals but require innovative strategies to achieve positive outcomes. This course emphasizes the importance of executing skills without compensations and generalizing them to habitual function.
Participants will explore the barriers to success that require referrals to other professionals and learn how to collaborate on treatment plans. The STONES Approach is ideal for dental hygienists, myofunctional therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and speech-language pathologists who have completed an introductory myofunctional therapy course
