Pediatric Therapy and Learning Center (PTLC) is a premier therapy center in Lafayette, Louisiana, dedicated to excellence in the treatment of children and young adults. We offer speech therapy, occupational therapy, feeding therapy, as well as a learning center, which includes individual reading and writing intervention, literacy groups, social groups, and handwriting groups. MI Birth Life
I am a bilingual (Spanish) certified birth and bereavement doula, CLC, and a mom to two kiddos born in 2016 and 2020. Back then, I didn't even know what a doula or CLC was, but I had two really positive birth and breastfeeding experiences on my own. Now, I'm pumped to help others have the same kind of awesome birth adventure.
I'm super excited to support you through pregnancy, birth, and parenthood, especially if you're feeling a bit nervous about it all. I want to show you that birth doesn't have to be scary or traumatic. It might not go exactly as planned, but it can still be a positive experience where you feel empowered and proud.
Becoming a birth doula and CLC wasn't part of my original plan, but I believe it was in God's plan. I started my journey with DONA certification in October 2022, and within three weeks, I attended my first birth. Once I became more acclimated in the brith world I decided I wanted to become a CLC to help young families really thrive in their breastfeeding journey as well. I became a certified lactation consultant through ALPP in 2025. Each family I've supported has been so different and beautiful in its own way—I've loved every minute of it. It's a privilege to support both men and women as they step into parenthood, and I can't wait to see where this new calling takes me next.

I am a certified breastfeeding specialist trained through Lactation Education Resources. I have also been serving the Richmond area as a certified postpartum doula for 8 years and about 95% of our clients breastfeed. I have a team of doulas who provide non medical overnight care in the first 12 weeks after birth. We offer support, information, instruction, comfort, and referrals as needed. We work in the client's home but have an office space on Huguenot road as well where we have playdates and meet ups. We served more than 40 families in 2018..
