After having my own baby with significant tethered oral tissues, lip tie specifically, and no one listening to my mama heart, I took it upon myself to figure out why. My daughter was failure to thrive, unable to breastfeed, fed around the clock, had acid reflux/GI discomfort, and exacerbated my post partum anxiety. Once we saw Dr. Melissa Statham, an ENT I worked with at CHOA, who released her lip tie, our lives completely changed for the better. I made it my mission to help families in the NICU and mother-baby units to never have this kind of stress after going home from the hospital. I am SO fortunate to have gone through the TOT’s course and getting a Tethered Oral Tissues Specialty ♥️

Prenatal Consultations offer insight into navigating the first days and weeks with baby; Initial Consultations and Follow-Up Consultations provide reassurance and guidance if difficulties arise; while Pump Fitting and other services target specific concerns as the journey evolves. Joy and Laughter Developmental Therapy
As a speech-language pathologist, I have specialized in pediatric feeding therapy for over ten years. In those years, I have sought out and trained in a variety of different approaches to feeding therapy and learned from the country’s top experts (e.g., Marsha Dunn Klein, Debra Beckman, Catherine Shaker, Diane Bahr, Lynn Wolf, Robin Glass etc.). There is no one approach to therapy that works for every child or every family. I carefully select the parts of each approach that fits best with every child I see, creating an individualized therapy plan for each family based on their unique needs and circumstances.
I treat breast, bottle, and tube fed infants using a combination of oral motor exercises, massage, and suck training. I also treat older babies, toddlers and children into their teens.

Dr. Jennifer Clarke Ph.D. is the owner of Express It’s Toms River office. She has extensive training and experience in oral motor skill development, feeding, TOTs, and myofunctional disorders. Dr. Clarke’s research focuses on speech motor control in the transition from babble to first words.

Mama Bear Lactation Care
Mama Bear Lactation Care, LLC, is a private practice in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. It is owned by Jennifer Hafele, an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) who provides expert breastfeeding and lactation care as a member of the maternal-child health team. Jennifer has special interest in oral restrictions and completed the TOTS Training through Chrysalis Orofacial in July 2019.
