Ashley is the Owner and Clinical Director of Bodyworks Therapy Specialists. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Louisiana State University and her Masters in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine in Florida. Following completion of her Masters, she was accepted into and completed the 8-week intensive certification in the NeuroDevelopmental Treatment Approach (NDT). In 2016, Ashley became the first physical therapist in the Southeast region to receive training for diagnosis and treatment of Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders. In addition to treatment of Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders, Ashley’s specializations include correction of breathing impairments in patients across the lifespan, craniofacial pain management, sleep, and TMJ dysfunction. She believes multidisciplinary treatment planning is vital to a patient’s plan of care and well-being and strives for collaboration between all providers. Ashley currently serves as adjunct faculty for the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at LSU. She is a member of the APTA and LPTA, NDTA, AOMT, AAMS, AAPMD, and is a Gold Lactation Delegate. Ashley’s mission is to continue to learn everyday with passion to enhance the lives around her. Her goal is to help patients to breathe, eat, sleep, and move better so that they become the best version of themselves.

Redwood Speech and Feeding Specialists
Ashley Pilon is the Owner and Clinical Director at Redwood Speech and Feeding Specialists. She is a pediatric speech pathologist, feeding specialist and oromyofunctional therapist who is licensed in both Louisiana and California. Throughout her career, she has worked in a variety of settings, including outpatient clinics, non-profits, early intervention programs, schools ages K-8 and hospital speciality clinics, including both craniofacial and nasoendoscopy teams. While she has worked with children of all ages and abilities, she has specialty training in the areas of speech sound disorders, oral motor, tongue tie, tongue thrust, feeding, apraxia, stuttering, cleft/craniofacial disorders and Autism. She has been a three time recipient of ASHA’s ACE award (Award for Continuing Education) by earning more than 70 contact hours of professional development in a 3 year period. Trainings have included but aren’t limited to: Talk Tools Oral Placement Therapy, A Sensory Approach to Apraxia of Speech, Sensory Motor Approach to Feeding, SOS Approach to Feeding and it’s Advanced courses: SOS for Autism, Food Scientist Approach for School Aged Children and an additional three month SOS mentoring, PROMPT, Beckman Oral Motor Protocol, TOTs Specialty Training, Understanding the Oral Facial Complex. Ashley is in the process of getting her certification in Orofacial Myology through the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM).
All the therapists at Redwood have had specialty training in both tongue tie and oral motor dysfunction. The therapists work closely with other medical providers on your team (pediatricians, dentists, orthodontists, ENTs and other therapists) in a collaborative way to coordinate care and help you achieve an optimal result. Therapy services are provided in clinic and is also available via telehealth.
