Myofunctional Therapy

Amy is a speech-language pathologist currently practicing at ProMedica Total Rehab in Fremont and Clyde, Ohio, providing speech, language, myofunctional therapy, and tethered oral tissue therapy to pediatrics and adults. She will assist in the therapeutic readiness and after care for tethered oral tissue releases. She has completed courses for TOTS: Tethered Oral Tissues Specialty Training, Simon Says Myofunctional Therapy, and the STONES Approach for Myofunctional therapy. She is ASHA certified and licensed in Ohio.

Having two of my own babies/toddlers have tongue/lip ties impacting everything from sleep, airway, breathing, eating, breastfeeding, and colicky behaviors, I decided I didn't want anyone else to feel powerless when it came to TOTs. I jumped in to every training in this speciality I could find to bring resources closer to rural communities, like that in which I grew up.

Voz Speech Therapy is a pediatric bilingual speech therapy practice that provides individualized services based on the specific needs of your child in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, specializing in children ages one to six years old. Our model for therapy is designed for the clinician to work collaboratively with parents, teachers and healthcare providers to ensure maximum success and carry-over of language skills and communication tools that can be applied in any environment. Therapy sessions are provided in English or Spanish, depending on your child's native language. Voz Speech Therapy believes children are most successful when they are treated in their natural environment, whether that is in their home, school, child development center, daycare or community setting.

Andrea is a certified speech-language pathologist with 25 years of experience, including both professional and personal experience with TOTs and orofacial myofunctional disorders. Services are provided in-clinic.

We are a therapy practice focusing on treatment of: orofacial myofunctional disorders, infant feeding, toddler feeding, tongue tie/lip tie, articulation disorders. Andrea has 21 years experience as a Speech Language Pathologist and is passionate about continuing education to be able to best serve our patients.
