Ashley Perkins

Ashley is the Owner of Perkins Therapy Group in Eunice, Louisiana. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and she received her Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Completion of multiple specialty focused continuing education courses including, but not limited to: Tethered Oral Tissues Specialty Training taught by Autumn Henning; Beckman Oral Motor Assessment and Intervention taught by Debra Beckman; Feeding Therapy: It's Not Just About Swallowing as well as Feeding Therapy: Case Studies and Problem Solving by Melanie Potock; Prevention of Feeding, Speech, and Mouth Development Problems: Birth To Age 2 by Diane Bahr; Pre-Feeding Exercises: A Sensory-Motor Approach by Lori Overland; Understanding the Orofacial Complex by Kristie Gatto; TummyTime! In September of 2017, she received her first Award for Continuing Education (ACE). Ashley is a three time ACE recipient. The ACE is awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) to Speech-Language Pathologists who have demonstrated commitment to lifelong learning by earning 7.0 ASHA CEUs (70 contact hours) within a 36-month period. She has worked in multiple long-term care facilities, home health, early intervention, and private practice and treats ages across the lifespan from infancy to geriatrics.
