Abbey Fields

Abbey is a pediatric Occupational Therapist, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), and Craniosacral Therapy (CST) provider specializing in infants from birth to 12 months. She also specializes in infant feeding for babies 6 months and older and has completed SOS Approach to Feeding training. She takes a whole-body approach to supporting babies with feeding, oral-motor, developmental, and regulation challenges.

Abbey works with families who may be noticing difficulty with breastfeeding or bottle feeding, poor latch, clicking, inefficient milk transfer, prolonged feeds, oral-motor difficulties, body tension, or challenges with tongue and jaw movement. When tethered oral tissues are suspected or identified, she considers how oral function, posture, body tension, sensory processing, and overall development may be contributing to feeding difficulties.

Her approach is individualized and family-centered, with a focus on understanding the whole baby rather than looking at oral tissues in isolation. Abbey collaborates with parents and other members of the infant's care team to support functional feeding skills and help families feel confident in their baby's care.

She is passionate about helping parents understand what they are seeing, taking the stress out of feeding challenges, and giving babies the support they need to thrive.
